GNO...

There were lots of "Girls Night Out" happenings and get-togethers before we left for Ohio! Starting with the Anderton-8! All the daughters and in-laws from Brett's siblings...we had dinner and tears at Maddox. Having grown up with 4 brothers it has been a BLAST to have gained 6 sisters and another wonderful mother all at once! Love you girls! From L-R, there's Mindy, Michelle, Me, Sharon, Jaimilyn, Ingrid, Megan and Tiff. The girls from Dad's side got together for an overnighter in Park City...with lots of shopping, food and definitely laughs! This is Jana, Gma Brklacich, and Brenda...dinner at Baja Cantina OUR FAVORITE!! Me and Kylie sippin our PinaColadas! I am the oldest grand-daughter, then Kylie is next.
We stayed at the Lodge at Stillwater on Jordanelle Reservoir...
on the left is my cousin Hailey & Gma, then me, Bonnie & Mom

This had to be the funniest thing ever! We went to dinner at Jared and Ingrid's... Brooks and Ruby wanted to swim so they did, in just their diapers!! Then they decided to run around the yard with 10 pound diapers hanging off their little bodies! Brooks' was down to his knees, then it didn't take long to drop to the ground! To the right is: Ruby, me, Mindy, Ingrid & Willa.

Part of the old HS crew...Jaime, Ashley, Angi & Me
Angi, Claire & Jane--the last 2 may be in the wrong order :)...this girl is amazing! Brett, Me, Gma & Gpa Brklacich
Hailey, me, Momma Max, Kylie, Bonnie & Jana
My Dad's 2 sisters, Bonnie and Jana. They are my 2nd and 3rd moms!
For some reason we ended up hanging out in my old room at home!

OHHHH, my girls! Crystal and Melissa! I love you!

Island Park

Another old post...but a goody! We went to the cabin in Island Park with part of my fam in July. Actually, we were missing most of us...life just gets too busy. Me, Brett, Mom and Dad went. We stopped in Ashton on the way to pick up grandpa! He's always good for a getaway! The cabin is gorgeous and can i just make a comment about the beds...i've never slept so comfortably in my life! We spent 2 days driving through Yellowstone. Our favorite way to ride is in the bed of the truck. We piled in a few bean-bags and we were set! White-trash or not, it's a lot roomier back there...and you can get a tan! On the first day we stopped in Mammoth for a picnic then onto Cooke City, Montana for some yummy icecream!

We had good luck with the wildlife of course we saw lots of "faluffalos"

This pic was pretty far away and i'm even zoomed in quite a bit, but down in one valley was a momma griz and 2 cubs! They were fun to watch as they chased eachother around. These wolf cubs were on the other side of the river...we only saw a larger one run across a clearing for about 3 seconds so i didn't get a picture, but i couldn't believe how big it was! Kolby and Grandpa waiting for Old Faithful to blow
At Old Faithful...just after it went off. I must say i was a little disappointed. It just doesn't shoot as high as it used to Yellowstone Lake
Mom and Kolbs enjoying the ride..or is Kolby faking it because his cell phone doesn't have service and he's had way too much family time?!?! This is a classic... "oh there's a dangerous buffalo in the road! Let's all jump out of our cars and see how close we can get before it charges!" moment. Dumb tourists.
So, it took about 10 minutes of waiting before the park ranger arrived...the dang thing wouldn't move! I just stared that car down...it only took one slap on the butt to get it movin! me...the master cooker of hobo (tinfoil) dinners
The master eaters of the tinfoil dinners!

What we've been up to...

So, i know you're all dying to know what's going on here! Right, right. I've busted the camera out a couple times so far! Here's Brett signing for our goods! The moving truck idea was great...i'm glad it wasn't us hauling that across country! My dad was here on business so he helped unload our 8 feet of space used!
A view from the back of our house
This is the newest addition to our family! The Hyundai Tuscon! Although the first one we planned on buying was silver...the white isn't my favorite, but it's growing on me. We really like her!
So this is Dallin...Brett knew him from Weber State. He and his wife Amanda and their 2 boys moved out here in June. Dallin and Brett will both be in the same dental class. They live about 5 blocks away from us which has been so much fun! We all get along so well! Dallin is building a deck on the back of his house, so Brett offered his skills to see what they could come up with! It's looking pretty good!
Just a quick pic of me and Amanda and Boston....don't worry, the picture looks like crap but i had to keep it to show the humidity. As soon as i wiped off the lens it would fog up again. Yeah, it's real sticky here! When we first got here it rained for like 5 days...and we thought it was pretty normal, but then we started getting phone calls from Utah asking if we were flooded! That's further north, but yeah the rain is crazy!
Dallin and Amanda have gotten us into Nintendo Wii...it pretty much occupies most of our nights at their house!
Brett and Amanda getting into the bull races! We've got some serious Anderton vs Williams competition going on! Last night we also played cards...they taught us "Mormon Bridge" which is actually very similar to the Anderton version of "Up the River, Down the Stream." Then we taught them how to play "Mexican Train" with dominos. We got to bed around 2am!
We had a little adventure the other day... We needed to get our Student ID cards on campus so we could pick up football tickets...well we don't have our parking pass yet, and neither of us have a car that fits 6 people. So the solution was for dallin and amanda to hit up the local Honda dealership for a testdrive! They met us nearby and we took a stroll to campus in the minivan! It was pretty sweet! This isn't a very good pic...i hurried really fast to get it because there was a crazy man headed towards the van (you can kinda see him)! We are in the ghetto!
Anyway, it was a success and we now have our official "Buck I.D." cards and season tickets!
What a hotty Brett is! Our living room didn't have an actual light fixture on the fan (apparently lights are an "extra" out in this part of the country...many homes we looked through were all lit by lamps) so Brett bought a light at the local Home Depot and installed it! It's so nice to have a live in handy man! Love you Bretty!
Woops i didn't take a pic of the finished project so that can come later! So, that's what's going on! I have sent out a lot of resumes, so hopefully next week i'll hear back from some offices...until then we will continue on with our empty schedule, staying up late, sleeping in, unpacking here and there, playing Nintendo Wii, trying to avoid the heat and humidity, watching movies, and occasional outings to figure out the new area!

Twinkle, twinkle......little Ruby?

Just a little cute video of Ruby I had on my phone so the quality is probably not the best. We mostly just wanted to see if it would even work. So hopefully more video to come in the future!!!! Sorry if me breathing in the background is a little creepy, I also snorted halfway through to try to keep myself from laughing.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME! I didn't have to work on my birthday becaue Dr. C was in Alaska! We actually spent the whole weekend up at the Anderton Cabin in the Uintahs and had a nice time just relaxing. I am very sad though because our computer crashed and we hadn't backed up so we lost about 2 weeks worth of pictures and the cabin pictures were in them....along with Father's Day on my side and 4th of July. I do have these pics though. Sharon made this fabulous banana cake which happens to be my favorite and she had no idea, so she must have been feeling the spirit on that one! Ruby helped me with my candles, then brett and i were off to a softball game!

This is part of our team. Brie and i put a team together about 4 years ago...We called it "The Good The Bad" for funny reasons...there have been quite a few changes with teammates mostly due to people moving away to school...like Pejman and Pooyan, Kerry, James and now...US! Yes, those are PINK shirts and even the boys are proud to wear them! (All except for Russell, but Brie made the exception for him...he wears gray, with pink writing!) Brie was so sweet and made me a birthday cake so we could celebrate with the team....it was my other favorite...FUNFETTI frosting! Mom, Dad and Kolby came up from SL to watch the game...just like old times!

I just love this crowd...We will really miss the fun times at the park and all the great people we got to chill with every week.

I just love this boy! As for people i will miss the most...Kolby is definitely at the top of my list!
The other team i play softball on got together at "Andy's" in North Ogden for my birthday. Yes, it is a bar, but they are well known for their Greek food so it works!
Brie and Russ put it together and we had a good time!
I will miss this rowdy crowd!
The A Team! Love you kids!
