Growing...

It's so crazy to me that every time I look at Emri, her looks seem to change!! I think she looked more like me when she was first born, but is starting to look a little more like Brett now when he was a newborn. She is definitely getting more round in the face (especially those sweet cheeks) and I can tell she's getting a little heavier as I hold her! She will be a month old this week and that is so hard for me to believe! Her little newborn onesies are getting a little snug and I'm pretty sure after we finish off this last few newborn diapers from the pack we'll be into the next size up. It's so crazy to me that she's growing so fast...I'm just trying to enjoy every minute of her....even in the middle of the nights I love our quiet time together when I  get to feed her. She's such a sweetie! I love to hold her....which makes for me not getting much done around the house, but that's not too important to me right now! My favorite time is when she naps in the afternoon! She's like a little bird and will just perch right on my chest! It's the best thing ever to have a little baby sleep on you!! Napping together is the best!

Uncle Brody came out last week to meet his niece and keep us company for a few days...Brett has been trying to stay busy studying for finals which are currently taking place so I've been on my own quite a bit...Thanks Brode for coming to stay! We love you!

If I'm not holding her while she sleeps, I'm usually watching her sleep!! She's just so peaceful! And...she makes some funny faces and the cutest smiles while she dreams! I can't get enough of this sweet angel!

We are looking forward to Brett being done with this crazy quarter so he can play with us more at home during his Spring Break....and we are so excited to have Gma and Gpa Anderton coming to visit soon! Emri is so excited to meet them! Hopefully the next update will have her 1 month pediatrician stats!!

Little Peanut Update

Emri is now just over 2 weeks old and we are loving her more and more each day! She makes me laugh already with her sighs while she's sleeping or her mischievous grins after she makes a loud noise in her pants that makes me rush to the changing table in an effort to keep her clothes clean!

Before her umbilical cord fell off....she was not a fan of the sponge bath!

So sweet! 

Now we can give her tub baths and she doesn't mind them one bit! It's the drying off and lotioning that she's not a fan of!

Uncle Bridger was in town on business for one night....just long enough to fall in love with his new niece and not want to leave! He brought her some really cute clothes too!

Momma Max had to leave this week. We were lucky enough to have her here for a week and a half. We were so sad to see her go...Brett said it was the most depressing ride back from the airport because I was pretty teary eyed....(ok, that might be an understatement)! Momma Max had a hard time leaving her "peanut" behind...I think that is her official first nickname given by grandma. Thanks Momma for taking such good care of us, cooking us yummy food, and spoiling little E. We will miss you!

Brett loves her to pieces. He likes to steal her away while she sleeps. He hasn't been getting much studying in...he said there's too many cute distractions at home now!

We got this Bjorn from some of our awesome friends here. She's quite tiny still, but I can tell Brett's gonna love it already! He likes to put her in it and wander around the house!

Ahh, yes! Sometimes she even sleeps right through her baths!! She's so cute!
