What were we up to in September? A little of this, a little of that....got used to a school routine again, but added lots of playtime too to even it out.
Ike is already trying to impress his lady friends by taking his shirt off for play dates. :)
Emri loved being a helper with baby Thea while her momma and I made peach jam all day!
Ike's birthday toys have been popular among all 3 of the kids.
Eva and Jet waiting for the older siblings at the Primary Program Practice! I think these 2 blue-eyed blondies could pass for twins!
The new dental office is coming along....
We originally told E she would just be able to do the practice drills with her soccer team and not play in the games.
So, off she went. I figured this wasn't any worse than her running through the yard with Jet everyday? She just wanted to get in there and play! I'm glad her determination kicked in.
More playdates for Ike! Ok mostly the mom friends wanted to play, so naturally the babies had to tag along! I love that my friends reproduce in multiples.... the chances of my kids one day marrying them totally increase! Ava, Tess, Ike, Hazel, & Lily. Ike was the man of the hour! :)
Tess, Ike & Hazel. Bottoms up!
Dr appt for E! Jet helped her be brave by holding her hand while the cast got cut off.
We were originally told 6 weeks in the cast... but when the x-ray came back, it was very obvious, even to me, that it hadn't completely healed.

I was bummed because in 5 days we were surprising the kids with a Disneyland vacation. The dr. RX a knee-immobilizer for 2 more weeks. This pic makes it look like E was very disappointed, when in fact she had such a good attitude and said "Only 2 more weeks? That's not very long because I already had to do 6 weeks!" She has been such a good sport about the whole ordeal. The only problem was....the knee immobilizer wasn't staying put very well unless we tightened it so tight that it rubbed sores onto her skin. So, I went back to the dr a few days later and actually requested another hard cast. :( UGH! I wasn't about to deal with re-strapping that thing up every 15 minutes and leg sores on vacation. She had done so well in her cast we figured it would be best. My only request was that it was waterproof :)
Silly girl. I think she felt right back at home! She's getting quite creative with her color choices. The middle section was glow-in-the-dark! The doctor commented, "blue and white? Is that for BYU?" A bit put-off Emri quickly replied, "No. We cheer for the Aggies at this house! ....And the Buckeyes!" Her daddy would have been proud to hear that! haha!
This sweetheart of a boy saw a flower display as we shopped for groceries one day. He said to me, "Momma, look at those beautiful flowers! Can I give some to Miss Jackie?" Melt my heart! Emri chimed in that she'd like to give some to her Kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Lechman, as well. So he took some to school the next day for her. He taught me a sweet lesson in always thinking of others.
Mr. Fish, the preschool pet, got to come home with Jet for the first time.... he was beyond excited! He always loved to hang out with Mr. Fish when E would bring him home and now he finally got his own turn!
Don't YOU put hangers on your head for fun?
Ike likes to hang out at the magnets while I cook...
September went out with a bang in Disneyland! Pics to come!
