Pumpkin Patch and a Quick Trip to Idaho

We really look forward to this fun little tradition Grandma Max started a few years ago. We head to Mabey's Pumpkin Patch in South Jordan to pick out some really fun, unique pumpkins to decorate our front porch!
A few of us took a hayride around the farm

Near the end of October my cousin's (Kelti) son was giving his farewell talk before leaving on a mission to Tulsa, OK. It was just going to be a quick trip so Brett decided to stay home with the kids and Mom, cousin Jill, and I drove up Saturday afternoon, spent the night and came back Sunday. We stayed at Kelt's house... basically out in the middle of nowhere. AND IT WAS PERFECT! I mean, Can you really beat this view from your front yard?! She lives in Heise, ID (about 20 minutes west of Rigby).
Brody and Kolby had gone up the night before so they could take our cousin, Blais hunting. When the girls got there all of us went for a walk down to the river and to do a little shooting.

It was a perfect night, beautiful views, great company, awesome temps!

We ate dinner at the Heise Pizza Parlor, then went on a Haunted Zipline. It's been a long, LONG time since i've been to a haunted house or anything like it...and now I remember why--so freaky!!
Kelti and Brody.
Our crazy group after zip lining. It was a nice break for me to be kid-free! We had such a fun time! I love my cousins!
The next morning waiting for church to start :)
This is Elder Tasen Cureton! I'm so happy for him to serve a mission! He is a really strong person who has overcome a lot in his short life. He will have so much to share with those he meets, not only the gospel of Jesus Christ. Look at that contagious smile! Good luck Tase!

New Dental Office Progress

I realized I haven't documented any of what has been going on in the Anderton Dental Group world, and it's a pretty major part of our lives right now (and has been for what seems like a really long time)! Back in the Summer of 2013, the Anderton Dental Group purchased some land in South Ogden to build a bigger building, that will have enough room to fit their growing needs. The piece of property is in a great location...and the views CANNOT be beat!
It took months of drawing, planning, re-drawing, etc, etc, etc before any tangible work was to be done. Late this Spring we finally broke ground and have made lots of progress since. There were a few hiccups with city permits and it seemed like everything was held up for one reason or another.
July 1, 2014:
July 2, 2014: Finally not just a hole in the ground.
July 7: The kids and I would drive by several times a week to see what was new.

July 18: Starting to take shape!

After work one day Brett called and said to hurry up to the office... Jet was gonna love it! It felt like we were right in the middle of our own "Mighty Machines" TV episode! (Notice the paint--not all were in agreeance with the burnt orange color. I was a fan from the beginning. Still am).
Jet and Grandpa watching the rock wall be built.
The driver was very particular as he built the rock retaining wall (this is off the back side of the building). He would take a rock, flip it over a couple times, place it, nudge it around to check out the fit, add some dirt around the rock then if he didn't like it he'd pick it up and drop it back into the big boulder pile and find a different one. We were actually all quite entertained, not just the little kids!
 Side view:

We are all quite excited for it to be done. Brett practices with his dad, and an older brother. It will be amazing to have the extra room, since now they are working from the office his dad has been at for the past 30+ years. It's a great office, just not ideal for 3 doctors! The plan is to be finished and in by the new year 2015!

Ike @ 13 Months

 Tess, Ike & Hazel
I've decided that as long as my friends keep reproducing in multiples, the chances of our kids marrying one day continues to go up!
 Too cool for school!

I think he's a bit excited about group bath time! :)
The boy LOVES sneaking around in daddy's clothes!

 Bath time = favorite time!

At 13 Months, Ike:
  • scales the stairs going up
  • can't get enough milk to drink. LOVES it!
  • likes Baby Einstein puppets
  • loves to be up on the couch and holding a remote.
  • plays "so big"
  • says "ayyyyy" (hi)
  • takes 2 naps/ day. Night time sleep ~11 hours.
  • finally caught on to clapping...and does it for himself when he reaches the top of the stairs.
  • is learning to throw tantrums. oh no!
