Don't Text and.....

....walk down (rock) stairs at the same time. Seriously?! Total blonde moment! This was about an hour after the incident.
I didn't take any more pics, but it got pretty gnarly lookin' about a week later.
A month later and I'm still wondering if the doctor was right about it not being broken. It does feel a little better, and for now I'll take the doctor's advice to "start by walking and chewing bubble gum first, then move on to texting while walking." haha! Smart Alec! Wanted to kick him in the teeth!

Halloween x 4

The kids had several opportunities to dress up this year, which Emri LOVED! E requested to be "IZZY" the cute girl pirate from "Jake and the Neverland Pirates," but her costume wasn't quite ready, so Here's Rapunzel and her "super man" Owen at the library/storytime trick or treat :) Makes me smile....doesn't he just look like a princess protector?!
Rapunzel and Minnie (Courtney). Friday we headed to Salt Lake to show Momma Max and the uncles our trick-or-treaters. Emri's costume work consisted of painting stripes on and cutting off old white pants, cutting a triangle of fabric for bandana, and a strip for belt, sewing a "pix-dee dust" pouch necklace and filling it with glitter. EASY! And Jet's costume...well, it was a hand-me-down!! ADORABLE!A little devil and Buzz Lightyear were there too :)...how the elephant "walks"On Sunday, Grandma and Grandpa Anderton had a costume parade for the grandkids that could make it...Emri's favorite part of her costume was her "pix-dee dust pouch necklace!" When Izzy sprinkles Pixie Dust on anyone it makes them fly :)...this years Anderton babiesHave you ever seen a bumble bee attack an elephant?!?! Well, there's a first time for everything!Visiting Great Grandma AndertonOn actual Halloween Day, we went to the Morgan Business trick-or-treat which is from 4-6pm. The sun was still out and luckily the temperature was in the 60's. Perfect!
The businesses hook you up! Slurpees at 7-11......and icecream cones at Steph's!We took a dinner break, then Emri was back at it after dark! She loved shouting "Happy Halloweeeeeen" after treats were dropped in her bucket! The pirate's loot! In all, I'd say it was a success (other than next year I need to teach her that chocolate--not suckers--are the treats to look for)!

Fall Leaf Fun

So glad that on this particular day I was scheduled to work, my whole afternoon of patients cancelled and I got home just in time to capture all the fun Emri was having with her cousins, Brooks and Willa.

Brett had a little fun with the blower too...the kids were loving it!

Jet was mesmerized by the leaves :)

I found this video from 2006....apparently I was a little more fun back then!

Jet @ 8 Months

oh, there's one smile....trying to get them both to smile....impossible :)

Loves his nifty bath seattubby time is always more fun when big sis can join

I love that Emri can help entertain :)Still gummy... no teeth yet!
At 8 Months Jet:
  • loves to click his tongue
  • gets on his hands and knees and rocks back and forth then pushes off and goes backwards
  • he also does this superman move (pictured above) where he lies on his tummy and flails his arms and legs around....but gets nowhere doing it!
  • rolls around to get wherever he wants
  • no teeth
  • sleeps around 12 hours at night and naps 2x/day
  • LOVES Emri
  • has become a lot more vocal recently
  • hand/eye coordination is coming around....he can successfully pick up Puffs and Yogurt melts (and any other miniscule object on the ground) and guide them to his mouth!
  • favorite foods are oatmeal, bananas and prunes
  • cries if we take something away from him that he's not supposed to have
  • his laugh resembles a sound that is 1/2 machine gun and 1/2 goat

Cornbelly's @ Thanksgiving Point

We spent an afternoon at Cornbelly's in Lehi for some Fall fun....the weather was strange. Probably 80 degrees out, but yes that IS SNOW you see on the mountains. That's mid-October in Utah for ya!

It was so toasty we had to cool off with Italian Ice. Jet was a fan!

We met up with our friends from Ohio, the Clarks. It was so great to see some fellow Buckeyes (but made us miss Ohio more)! Momma Max and I rode in the Cow Train with E and Averi.

Rubber Duck races. Once Emri got the hang of pumping the water, she didn't want any help.

Jet boy was Grandma's buddy while Brett and I kept track of Emri running from place to place!

There's still some kid in me....I couldn't pass up the blow-up slide (or obstacle course)!
When we got back to Momma Max's, uncle Kolby got off work just in time to entertain his favorite niece! Emri LOVES the "hoop-a-loop" but can't quite get it to work :) Thank goodness Kolby knows how to fix it!

Mabey's Pumpkin Patch

Grandma Max treated us to all the pumpkins we could possible load at Mabey's Pumpkin Patch!

Emri and Ayden had a great time running wild to find their perfect pumpkin...

And you can't leave the patch without a few posed pics by the cornstalks. Brody and Britt. Aren't they the cutest?!

Grandma and her little squirts!

Our Fam....(this is the best we could do?! Jet looks beyond entertained!)

Thanks Momma Max for the awesome pumpkins and the delicious Olive Garden carb fest afterward!
