7 Months!

The past few weeks have been so busy and we are excited to post some pics about the visitors we've had and the overnight camping we experienced......but, until I get all the pics rounded up, enjoy a few shots of Emri at SEVEN MONTHS!!!!

E babe is growing like a weed! She is at such a fun stage right now....I think she just keeps getting more fun with each new thing she does and learns!
She has pretty much graduated from the Bumbo....because I'm scared she's going to arch her way right off the back....and honestly, her thighs are quite snug in it too! When we (try to) take her out, the whole chair comes with! Now she is sitting in her sweet chair that mom scored for $5 at a yard sale! It's great! She likes to pick up her puffs and yogurt melts from the tray....although, getting them into her mouth is a whole different story! She's learning though :)
I feel like one of these days she will either complete the full splits and throw her hands up to say "ta-da", or take off crawling from this position! She's really not even close to crawling yet, but this sure makes her look as if she's headed that way!
Emri graduated from her bath chair to the tub! She LOVES her rubber duckies! This picture cracks me up! She can fit the head of the baby ducky all the way in her mouth, then uses her free hands to reach for the next duck victim! Her eyes make it look painful, but I assure you, she's fine!
She loves to splash around now that she has a little more wiggle room in the full tub!
She eats much better than she used to! She really likes pears, sweet potatoes, apricots, applesauce, peaches, carrots, and squash. She totally dry heaves on green beans! We are gradually making our way to the 2nd foods! She also does much better with her cereal now as well. Just this week though we had to introduce the poor baby to prunes to help with some "backed-up" issues!

The one change Brett and I have noticed in the past month is Emri is now fully aware of what she wants.....and when it gets taken away she knows it too! In the past, if she grabbed at something she shouldn't have, we could take it away and replace it with one of her toys--no problem. Now, there's an instant reaction and she can tear up faster than I can blink! WOW! Does the drama start this early?! ha ha! We sure love Emri to pieces and are so lucky to have her in our family!

HAPPY BRACES OFF DAY TO ME!

Yesterday was a happy day for me! I've been anticipating getting my braces off for the last 7 months! Picture before braces....
The day I got my braces on...
Dental Freedom (other than clear retainer in the day and maxillary hawley at night)....
I took my ipod and listened to Rascal Flatts while they ground all the cement off my teeth....that has to be the worst sound in the universe so I'm glad my favorite boys made it a little easier to handle! Now, I can't wait to make a special trip to the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory this weekend so I can sink my teeth into one of these carmel apples and of course many other delicious food items that I've been somewhat avoiding for the past 19 months!

Dr. Cook and I.....totally cheesing it of course! Don't you think if he had on a cowboy hat and some facial scruff he'd look like this guy? ha ha!
I so appreciate Dr Cook for making it possible for me to have braces! I was ALWAYS so, so impressed by their office...the wonderful staff members who were always so sweet, and so efficient! I give the highest recommendation to him for anyone (here in columbus) to have your orthodontic treatment done! You can look Dr. Cook/Dr.Hutta up HERE. I've always been self conscious of my smile....and even more so starting 9 years ago when I began working in the dental field. I've always wanted perfect teeth....and now I have them! A million THANK YOUS!

E is for Emri's ENERGY; F is for FOOTBALL

Football season is here and always something we look forward to! (Sadly), we were at the OSU/USC game....it was probably the most exciting game we've been to since living in Columbus! Too bad it ended the way it did! We still had a great time!
We went with our awesome friends, the Williams'. You can't tell in this picture, but Amanda is like 8 3/4 months pregnant! She is such a trooper! I'm really surprised that baby didn't come the night of the game after all the walking, yelling, jumping, and laughing we did together!
We sure love this time of year....nice weather, comfort foods, awesome friends, beautiful leaves changing....and football (college, NFL, and don't forget our favorite: Brett's Fantasy Football team(s)!
Just a couple videos of Emri.... she is so full of ENERGY! I love it! I will never figure out how she screams at such a high pitch! So, i tried to cut this video (but it didn't work)....maybe it's a little too close of a look into our life...just don't mind Brett in the background at about the 30 second mark. seriously. ha ha!
This is what happens when a baby gets that first drink of sweet apple juice! I swear, this happened within minutes of her drinking it (like less than an ounce)!

back in town....

So, we did it....AGAIN....Emri and I flew to Utah on our own! After the flight back to Ohio in June I swore I'd never do it again without Brett! But, with much asking, enticing, pleading, and I'd even say begging from some family members I decided I could handle it! So, a week after the flight was booked, we were off....And we're sure glad we went!
We made a quick jaunt to Idaho for my cousin Kreed's wedding. Above--Emri with her great grandpa Reynolds. Below--Kreed and Ann. Such a cute "little" couple as the temple sealer said! Their kids might be worse off in the height department than mine!
Me and Kerry.....my long lost favorite cousin! ha ha! I know I'll get in trouble from all the other cousins that read that!
Cute little peanut waiting on the grass at the Idaho Falls Temple
Grandpa Reynolds sang for Kreed and Ann at their reception. Grandpa had a couple records back in the day...that's right, those black, shiny, vinyl things! He used to sing at weddings, funerals, etc, all the time. With his bad health he hasn't sung in a really long time and I miss hearing it. What a treat for all of us to be there!
Emri wasn't left alone much while we were there! Her uncles sure love her!
Grandpa had to take E for her first tractor ride! It was a little bumpy and dad said whenever they went over a big bump Emri's legs would squeeze really tight onto his legs as if she were holding on for dear life!
E and Uncle Brody
We had a big family BBQ which seems to be the tradition when we come to town...it's the easiest way for us to see everyone while we're home!
siblings, cousins, aunts...too many to name!
Danielle, Emri, Jaylee and Britney. The twins and Jaylee are the youngest grandkids from the Brklacich's....so Emri is the first baby they've been able to play with!
Pratt and Emri (she's a day younger and weighs a pound or two more)!
Great Gma & Gpa Brklacich with Emri.....it's so fun to see their faces light up when she's there!
cousin Hailey, aunt Bonnie, me, Aunt Jana
Gpa R, Randy, Deb, Ty, Greg
Me and Gramps
Jill and Pratt
Emri still wasn't loving baby food at this point....not even in the new chair Gpa got her...and not even with Gma Max feeding her!
First try of apple juice! She liked it! She looks like such a big girl holding her sippy cup!
We went boating for Kolby's birthday. Gpa bought this cutest hot pink life jacket for E! They are so awkward on babies! Emri really looks sad in this picture....
...but this was really her expression the whole time we were on the lake! She never smiled, but she didn't cry either! I don't really think she knew what to think! She sure looked cute though...especially with those cheeks resting on the life jacket! ha ha!
The boys hangin on for dear life! The marine shop was out of helmets....so they went out and bought bike helmets instead! Such rednecks....but safe ones?!?!?
Mom, E, Kade, Dad
Kolby K, Brody, Bridger, Kolby B
Kolby and E.....such bathing beauties!
Kolby making his big bday wish on the DeLiShuS cake I made for him.....well maybe i made it more for me (he doesn't like frosting)!

We visited Great Gpa and Gma Anderton. Gpa hasn't been in the best of health the last little while, so we tried to lift his spirits a little, and I think it worked! When grandpa put his hand out, Emri loved to hold onto it while she watched him. So sweet!
Emri and Gma Sharon....she sure loves her gmas!
Swimming at Gma and Gpa Andertons with Mindy and Liam. Emri is such a little fishy....Mindy and I were saying that the water was chilly, but E didn't seem to mind one bit!
Just relaxin' at the pool!
She seems a little small for the chair, but still liked it!
Emri, and a few of her cousins: Dexter, Everett, and Owen
Ruby bustin out her flexibility skills for us!
Gpa Anderton and E playing in the yard
E with her cousins Tabitha and Courtney. It's so fun to see her mingle with them.....and at this point just watch them as they run circles around her. It will be crazy to see her join the crew when she's old enough to play in the mix of all 20 other Anderton grandchildren! YES, 20!
This was pretty much just a family trip....other than seeing Emri's boyfriend Parker! ha ha! We made a stop at Melissa's on our way to Idaho for a playdate! In June when we were home Emri was much bigger than Parker (she's 2 mos. older)....and now....well, see for yourself! He's such a big boy! The kids were so silly, squealing and talking to eachother! Parker was trying to kiss Emri's hand....
....and she let him know that wasn't appropriate by jabbing him in the eye (sorry P)! We'll have to work on our manners before next time!
They have such cute little personalities.....we couldn't help but laugh at them the whole time!
We went for a walk in the blazing heat! I was winded just going around the block....I forget that walking in flat Columbus is much different than in the hills of Utah!
Parker let E try out his bouncer and she loved it!
A shot of the 4 of us....Crystal and Hazel, we missed you!
And, these guys are pretty much family in my mind. This is the "old" lunch crew! ha ha! These ladies were in the ward I grew up in....Several of them were my young womens leaders. I spent a ton of time hanging out in their homes. I looked up to them so much as a teenager, and still do! They are all so amazing! We still get together for lunch just like we did way back when.....just not as often! Mom, me, E, Heidi, Pennie, Tara, Mel. Love you girls!
We had a great trip....and Emri was wonderful on all the flights! Hooray!
