Super 8-8

This man is incredible! We feel pretty lucky to be able to live right next door to Grandpa & Grandma right now. We even got to celebrate his birthday with him this year :)

There have been several close calls with Grandpa's health while we lived away....we are so grateful he pulled through all of them and we are enjoying being able to see them often. Emri loves to go next door to say hi to her "udder grompa and gwomma" (other gpa and gma).

Jet @ 5 Months

This little man is growing up right before our eyes....I'm not sure if it's cuz he's the 2nd child so it seems to go by faster or if it's because the past few months have been so chaotic for our family, but all I know is time needs to slow down!

He is hit and miss with his cereal....

He enjoys tummy time....(he rolls to his tummy the moment we lay him down).

He has been a good boy with so many changes happening all the time. It seems like he hasn't slept in the same place for more than 5 days at a time since we got back to Utah! He likes to suck on his hands and is getting better at grasping objects and bringing them to his mouth. A big thing for him (ok mostly for mom) was staying at Grandma Max's while we went to Lake Powell for 5 days. He did great for her and now they are best buds! He LOVES to snuggle grandma and she can get him to jabber and squeal more than anyone else can.

The kids and I spent the week at my mom's when we got back from Powell...Brett went back to his parents so he could go to work. boooo. :)

Emri coaxed Uncle Kolby into being her swimmin buddy, although he almost didn't fit!

Kylie's Shower

My mom and I threw a shower for my cousin Kylie in July (she actually just had the baby on Aug. 13)! I've decided I like to host things...mostly it's fun to make food for a gathering :) We had pumpkin gems, baby cheesecakes, creamy lemon crumb squares, cinnamon buns, chicken salad on croissants, spinach salad, and banana slush. Yummo! I probably listed the desserts first since that's the order I ate in!

Part of the decorations were our gift to Kylie....kill 2 birds with one stone when ya can! Jaylee is always so excited to see Emri...she always has a treat or present for her...she'll make a sweet auntie to baby Krew! Congrats to Kylie and Kyle!

July was so crazy I almost forgot it was my birthday month (which is not like me)! My sweet mother-in-law surprised Mindy and I with a pedicures at my FAVORITE place!

I LOVE BEING PAMPERED, having my feet rubbed, frozen grapes, relaxing eucalyptus towels, and chocolate....all of which were included!

Pre-Birthday Bash...with a dance party for the kiddos :)

My in-laws also spoiled me with a bike trailer! Emri and I have been loving our morning rides together. This is definitely one thing I love about being in Morgan...hardly any traffic and great neighborhoods to ride/walk in.

Our treat (my new fave from Costco)....frozen sorbet in fruit shells! Genius. The kids loved them as well!

My actual birthday was our last day at Powell, so most of it was spent packing up the houseboat and traveling. When we got home Brett made me a yummy BTS cake! Thanks babe!

Brett got me some Faux Tan (so I can avoid skin cancer...thanks Steph for the recommendation) and filters for my camera lens.

I also got some fun new Pampered Chef gadgets for baking that I've been wanting for a while, but just couldn't afford them....Thanks Mom :) In all it was a great birthday!!
