The kids had several opportunities to dress up this year, which Emri LOVED! E requested to be "IZZY" the cute girl pirate from "Jake and the Neverland Pirates," but her costume wasn't quite ready, so Here's Rapunzel and her "super man" Owen at the library/storytime trick or treat :) Makes me smile....doesn't he just look like a princess protector?!
Rapunzel and Minnie (Courtney).
Friday we headed to Salt Lake to show Momma Max and the uncles our trick-or-treaters. Emri's costume work consisted of painting stripes on and cutting off old white pants, cutting a triangle of fabric for bandana, and a strip for belt, sewing a "pix-dee dust" pouch necklace and filling it with glitter. EASY! And Jet's costume...well, it was a hand-me-down!! ADORABLE!
A little devil and Buzz Lightyear were there too :)
...how the elephant "walks"
On Sunday, Grandma and Grandpa Anderton had a costume parade for the grandkids that could make it...
Emri's favorite part of her costume was her "pix-dee dust pouch necklace!" When Izzy sprinkles Pixie Dust on anyone it makes them fly :)
...this years Anderton babies
Have you ever seen a bumble bee attack an elephant?!?! Well, there's a first time for everything!
Visiting Great Grandma Anderton
On actual Halloween Day, we went to the Morgan Business trick-or-treat which is from 4-6pm. The sun was still out and luckily the temperature was in the 60's. Perfect!
The businesses hook you up! Slurpees at 7-11...
...and icecream cones at Steph's!
We took a dinner break, then Emri was back at it after dark! She loved shouting "Happy Halloweeeeeen" after treats were dropped in her bucket!
The pirate's loot! In all, I'd say it was a success (other than next year I need to teach her that chocolate--not suckers--are the treats to look for)!
