Jet @ 22 Months

Sister is good for teaching some silly faces :)

We stopped to see Daddy at work one day, and I always put the kids in the chair for a ride...no way I'm having kids that don't like the dentist office! Jet even let Brett look in his mouth.
Just a little monkey, hangin' around the house.

 Christmas caroling w/ the Andertons
Round 2: Baby Vicks this time, not vaseline. Just happy it didn't get in his eye...
 ...pretty darn close though!
Has discovered sock lint in his toes....
 Sad, sick boy :(
A little spoiling time with daddy while Mom and E were out.
I think the chocolate frosting was a hit??

At 22 Months, Jet:

  • has added "byees/pea" PLEASE to his short list of words
  • had his first go-round ever with croup. Dang it. I was hoping that nastiness would skip this child.
  • favorite toys right now are the shape sorter, peg puzzles, and the Toys R Us Christmas catalog (we read it about 3 times a day).
  • cut his 12th tooth (#k) on 12-13-12
  • is obsessed with the Taylor Swift song "We are never ever, ever getting back together!" He cracks me up. The second we get in the car he starts saying "ooo-oooo-ooo" like in the chorus...and we basically listen to it on repeat.

E's Preschool Christmas Program

Emri had her first big singing performance! I was way more excited than she was....and she was pretty darn excited!
It was so fun to watch all the kiddos and see their personalities come out!
Little Rudolph! She sang all the words just as she practiced!
Jet sportin Gpa Anderton's frames during the program :)
Proud mommy moment!!! Thanks also to Daddy, Momma Max and Gma/Gpa Anderton for supporting this cute peanut in her singing debut ;)

Parties in Full Force

We've been participating in our fair share of family shin-digs this season. I only got 2 shots at the Wilson (Brett's mom's side) pj/breakfast party. We don't mess around when it comes to waffles. We had a scrumptious waffle bar and breakfast casseroles.
Jet found himself in this predicament in the kitchen. I'm not sure how he even shimmied between that and the wall?
At the annual Jex cousin reunion (my dad's mom's side). There's always plenty of fun to be had...
...and money to win??? Hey Tod, are you gonna use that towards your mission fund?!
The white elephants DID NOT disappoint this year (ok, honestly...they never do)!
Two cats!!! REALLY TYLER?!
What is with the animal pairings this year?! All I know is I'm glad I didn't open that box!

Made With Love...

This month has already brought about several opportunities for creating and giving in our family...and I LOVE IT!

A neighbor of ours returned home to his family from being deployed this past week. I thought it would be a fun idea to line our cul-de-sac with ribbons. It was fun to add a little sunshine to our street! So thankful for all those who sacrifice so much to serve our country, and thankful for their families as well.
We had our office Christmas party recently; my sis-in-law and I made these as part of the gifts from the "doc's wives" to the office girls. It's potpourri in a jar...you simmer it on your stovetop to make the house smell delish! Thank you Pinterest :)
Emri and I went on a girly date... first a Target run, then for frozen yogurt. She loves creating her own mixture. Honeydew melon & watermelon yogurt, topped with gummy bears, sour gummy worms, m&m's, jelly belly's and nerds. What a crack-up! She was in heaven...and on a sugar high!
We created a gingerbread village for FHE. I was thinking it would be a fun idea to each have our own little house to decorate (some are too OCD for scattered candy houses they have no control over)...but it was too much work to put 4 houses together. Next year, maybe just one big one?? And the OCD momma will just have to sit with her hands tied behind her back?!?!

 Jet & Mom's creations...
 Brett and E's masterpieces...
The Anderton's "extended" decided to spread Christmas cheer to Grandma through the whole month instead of a big party this year. We team up with a cousin/sibling and have a night with Grandma to ourselves. Tonight we (along with Jared's family) made dinner for Grandma and spent the evening enjoying our time with her. The kids also decorated sugar cookies with her. The frosting was a hit :)
 Emri, Gma, Brooks, & Willa.
Tis what the season is all about!!

Some Football...and a really scary drive

Emri and I met Momma Max in SLC, then headed to Park City to watch a couple of Kolby's flag football games. I miss watching that boy play ball (he's far left)!
Papa met us up there... E is really into pulling strange faces these days! We got to watch 2 games; the second was the championship game....
 ....and they WON!!
His #1 fan! I used to confidently say I was the only (favorite) girl in his life....I think that has changed :)

"Chase me Kobe!" She even geared up with flags.

When we left Park City the rain was coming down sideways. Hard. SOOOO WINDY! We started towards Parley's Canyon and the rain turned to a blizzard. I was freaking out and couldn't see a thing. I was SO thankful my dad was there. He started off following me, but then went ahead so I could follow him and be able to see where I was going. There were no visible lines on the road, and it was blowing so bad I couldn't even see reflectors to know where the edges of the road were! After the summit in Parley's when we started heading back down it turned to rain again and lots of standing water. Yikes. We made it home safely though.

Other than the weather, it was a fun night! Good job Kolbs!
