Zarahemla Overnighter

Do you enjoy camping when you're 8 months pregnant?! I might have enjoyed it a little more had I remembered the pump for our air mattress! HA! Luckily we had the pump for the mattress we planned to put the kids on, and gma/gpa had extra sleeping mats. So we had a semi-sleepable mattress and the kids were saved from the hard ground by over-prepared grandparents!

We spent the night at Camp Zarahemla in Morgan (a stake camp site) with a bunch of Brett's siblings and his parents.

Emri and Willa
Songs around the campfire with cousins...

It was Jet's very first camping experience and we kept him up late enough that going to sleep wasn't an issue. We paid for it the next day though! :-/ The kids actually slept till 7 am, which was surprising. We brought some in-tent entertainment to keep them inside a little longer...because these old, tired parents weren't ready to face the day yet!

Sadly we got rained out and weren't able to tube the river or pull out the giant slip n slide, but luckily gma and gpa live very close so we were able to swim in their heated pool in the afternoon.

instagram/iphone dump

If you follow me on Instagram these are not new....just haven't gotten them on the blog...dating back to March, I believe.  :-/

I spent an afternoon with Gpa/Gma Brklacich, taking Gpa to his eye surgery appt. Love them.
 Nin-Jet
 In trouble for something...
Just warming up in the sunshine.
Assisting the hubby one night on my Dad's broken tooth...I miss dental assisting--especially for Batman.
Jet went through a phase of changing his socks (and clothes) several times a day....
Even though there was still snow, when it started warming up enough for a jacket we took advantage!
My kids just like to mooch off the neighbors cool toys. Their bikes have NOTHIN' on these sweet cars!
Jet in his greeny-day attire, picked all by himself!
 Emri's first ball glove <3
 The Williams were in town!
What I did while I listened to General Conference
...and tried a new recipe that we called "Conference Cake!"

Hair clips we made for a YW activity... I sent them (about 60 total) with my father in law to his humanitarian trip to Guatemala.
Just a little paper clothing...mole check.
 Jet was here....

 A rare occurrence...nap...and on me!

 Finally warming up!
 Jet was here too.
Jet and Webster...at the Castle Park.
Sometimes he likes to sleep in his hat :)
Kolby tending the munchkins on a day I worked. Emri was up all night the night before with croup, so I knew I couldn't leave them at the arranged sitters house. Instead I called K at 4 am and asked if he'd do the job...thankful for him :) Hmmmm, she doesn't really seem sick here, does she?!
E found her "sleepy bear reserve."
Just doing a little self-assigned summer homework (in her robe)....practicing writing her letters.
Daddy bought a kiddie pool for all of us to keep cool in (yes, I get in too)!

 My whole world!
My bro-in-law Jim, and I did a volunteer shift for RAGNAR, Wasatch Back. The shift wasn't too bad, 8pm-12:30 am. We had lots of snacks to keep us busy. Don't we look official in our hunter-orange vests?!
I thought about just leaving them there while I did our Lake Powell grocery shopping. Gotta love Sam's club/Costco!
I took a load of girls up to Youth Conference on July 11...I couldn't pass up a free Slurpee on 7-11, luckily there was a 7-11 on our way :)
July has been HOTTTTT! My fat self can't take it with just a swamp cooler in our house! We've been spending lots of time in the water!
We hosted some AWESOME house guests for a few nights recently. The Royce's were good friends we met in Ohio, they left 2 years before us...and now it has been 4 years since we've seen them! 2 of the boys had a soccer tourney in Layton so they crashed here! My kids were obsessed with the boys!
Fortunately there were also some other Ohio buddies in the vicinity at the same time so we were all able to meet up for an afternoon at the splash pad!

This monkey was determined to get a "popple" (popsicle) out of the freezer himself!
All the firework "booms" were keeping her awake one night...so Brett gave her these big 'ol headphones to remedy the problem. When we asked her if she could hear us talking to her she said no! haha! As I walked out of her room I told her goodnight/love you. And she said it back to me. But apparently it drowned out the firework noise?! Silly girl!
