~JULY~ the BEST month of the year!!!

What's NOT to love about July?!! The sun is usually always shining, it's warm, we get suntans, tons of outdoor time, holidays, etc...(oh and my birthday, and our anniversary are also in July)!

Jet and Emri took swim lessons from one of my darling young women in the ward, Nikki. We did private lessons along with another little friend, Kendyl. The kids were in heaven, and learned a ton! Emri is swimming the length of the pool!
Somehow I turned 32?! During the day I took the kids swimming at Layton Surf n Swim... and was too busy lifeguarding to take pics! Our little family went out to dinner that night in Ogden at Sonora Grill. It was my first time...and won't be my last! YUM! Ike is to this stage of dining out.... needs entertainment to stay put in the highchair! Luckily some baby einsteins on daddy's phone does the trick.

The chips are huge...a whole tortilla!
The kids just couldn't pass up a picture with one of the many horses that dot downtown Ogden's street corners. Can you spy the beautiful, new, Ogden Temple behind us? It's almost finished!

After dinner we ate birthday pie. Cute little ike sure knows how to cheese at the camera! It was a great day!! Love my family!
Emri got to got to Classic Waterslides for a friends birthday party and had a blast!
One afternoon I met up with my high school girls for lunch and catching up. I have the best friends!!
Amy a dear friend from Ohio was in town and she's always so sweet to make time for me while she visits family. They are now living in Missouri.
This is basically my bday/anniversary/Christmas/Valentines gift for the next forever!! We made an offer on a house!!! We looked through it a couple times back in May (and looked through a hundred other houses too). I knew it was the one the first time I looked through it....but whatever held us back finally disappeared in July! YAY! (Moving soon...)
The kids have made some great friends in our neighborhood where we've been almost 3 years now. These sweet friends are moving to TX soon and we will so miss them. We spent an afternoon at the Riverdale Splash pad. Emri & Alanie
Adrian, Ike & Jet

They are nothin but trouble when they cruise our cul de sac!!
Kasen and Ike... cousin swim date in North Ogden
I played co-ed softball with some friends in a league in Morgan this summer. We went undefeated in the season and tourney! Softball is still my "out"....thankful for my hubby who agrees to let me leave once a week for a break (on top of my 1-2 nights/week of already being gone for my YW calling)!
On the 24th of July we got together in Morgan to celebrate Grandpa Anderton's bday.
We spent the rest of the 24th weekend in Bluffdale. We visited all the sea life at the new aquarium in Draper.
The kids wanted to walk through this rope bridge... then Jet chickened out at the last minute and wanted a piggy back. I almost lost my shorts, but i couldn't let go of the sides to hold them up!

We took the kids to their first rodeo, Bluffdale Days.
The fedora was good enough for Jet's "cowboy hat!"

The kids loved it! And Jet definitely drank more than his fair share of homemade root beer that night!

We said goodbye to our cousin Cody Brklacich who is leaving  to serve in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania LDS mission for 2 years (Braden, Danielle, Britney, Cole, Tyler, Me, Jet, Emri, Cody with Ike).
Brett and I celebrated our NINE year anniversary with a  "stay cation" weekend to ourselves! I ditched the kids with Momma Max and we had a whole 48 hours to do whatever we wanted!! We went out for dinner at Taggarts Friday night, then met up with Brett's parents on the Anderton property in Henefer to shoot clay pigeons. One of my favorite first dates I went on with Brett. I love it. And us ladies definitely held our own against the fellas!

Saturday morning we slept in, then got a couples massage.

We relaxed all afternoon, then went to do sealings in the Brigham City Temple, followed by a wonderful dinner at Maddox!

 Sure love my sweetheart!

   PJ dance party? Why not?!
See?? You really can't beat July!!

Ike @ 10 Months

 At 10 Months, Ike:

  • gets very snuggly at nap time and bedtime if he has his binky and "tiny blanky" with him.
  • we left him for his first long stretch away from mom and dad. Gma Max kept him while we took the older kids to Lake Powell for 5 days. He did great!
  • transitioned to formula only....when we went to Powell, we came home to a fridge/freezer having gone out and I lost all the frozen breastmilk I'd been pumping. Also my supply was diminishing, so it was time.
  • will scoot on his tummy and he sometimes gets up on his hands and knees, but not quite crawling.
  • had his 1st haircut!
  • I find him sitting up in his crib after naps, but haven't actually seen him get to that position on his own.
  • naps 2x/day
  • is our happy camper! We adore this little guy!

4th of July & Celebrating 90 years of Great Gma Sugar!

We always look forward to the 4th of July festivities in Morgan!

This year was extra special because we got to celebrate Great Gma Sugar's 90th birthday!! She is amazing! There was an open house for friends and family, then we had a big family dinner.
The kids did a small program for Gma.
We all made pages to go in Gma's book... pictures, letters, notes... things to help her remember how much she is cherished and loved!
The night ended with fireworks, of course! And a big outdoor sleepover. Luckily there was no rain at 3am this year!!

On the morning of the 4th, a group of us got up early for the Henefer 5k. Mindy took 1st in our age group! She's so speedy!
We wend to the Morgan parade.... i promise the kids enjoyed it! haha!
Once it really warmed up we hit the pool....
Emri has mad poolside jumping skills!
Ike was the cutie in the pool...
 ....just enjoying the sunshine!
Grandpa flooded the field in the afternoon and the boys ran wild. (Liam, Jet, Owen)
Gma is always whipping up some kind of treat to keep everyone happy. This year, snow cones!
This picture is hilarious. They are all beyond tired, red lipped, red eyes, wild hair, and still soaking up all the fun to be had.
Cute Ikester in his "America Rocks" shirt!
We were going to go home after dinner, but the kids begged to stay late for the "big fireworks"...so we obliged. We set up chairs and blankets on the lawn. At 10 pm the city fireworks started... by about 10:06 both big kids were asleep! What a fun {exhausting} holiday!
