Wrapping up February...

We finally got enough snow to roll out a really tall snowman! Doesn't he look like the snowman on Rudolph?
My life-long bestie, Angi, and her family were able to be sealed to the sweet twin girls they recently adopted. What a sweet experience to witness.
With the sealing brought many friends I hadn't seen in a LONG time! This is Angi and my college roomie, Chels. Gosh I love and miss this girl!!!

Dinner, bowling and arcades with the Brklacich crew to celebrate February/March birthdays.
Jet & Brody
 Emri & Ayden
 Kade & Keeley
 Momma Max & Ike

The uncles spoiled our kids on arcades. I don't think we even spent a dime!

Kolby was a pro at the grabber machine and snagged several stuffed animals for the kids! No wonder he's a favorite! :)

Emri @ 6 Years Old

Weight: 45lbs 8 oz (56%)
Height: 45 3/4 inches (or 3ft 9 3/4 inches) (60%)

When did this chair start looking so small?!
Remember when we first started this tradition?

**********
Grandpa & Grandma A picked the kids up on a day between both their b-days for a movie and dinner date and spoiled them with gifts.

Emri went to bed and the decorating fairies showed up in the night!
Birthday breakfast of choice for this SIX year old..."yolk eggs" and toast.
Opening presents.... she and Jet both got new bikes. I guess we didn't get a pic of her on hers, just some video cruising in the church parking lot. She did great on 2 wheels!
Birthday Activity of choice... to go to the arcade! The kids were in heaven, spending tokens and earning tickets! We went to "the Rush" in Syracuse.
The 2nd day of celebrations.... birthday dinner request: hotdogs, chips, and fruit. Easy peasy!
Birthday cake request: banana cake, with a Rainbow. Super cute and so simple to put together! She was beyond excited!!

This was take-2... Jet blew out the candles after the first round of singing! haha!
She's growing like a weed!! Grown 2.25 inches since last bday and gained about 4.5 lbs.
At 6 years, Emri:
  • LOVES her friends and has made some girlfriends at school this year too! Seems like her preschool and primary class she was the only girl, so she only ever had play dates with boys. Now she enjoys having girls over to play too.
  • She has added a dose of sass to our family lately...does that come with going to elementary school?? I don't know but it sure is a test of mom's patience at times.
  • She loves her brothers, and they get along most of the time. She is a really good helper with keeping ike busy when I need to accomplish something without a baby on my hip. She keeps talking about how he's the cutest baby ever and how it's so fun to have a baby in our family.
  • She is an excellent student and always gets good reports from her teacher.
  • She enjoys music as she always has and loves to dance around the house.
  • She likes to play soccer, and gets aggressive during home practices, but on the field at her games she is just excited to be there and usually bounces around the outer edge of the clump of players surrounding the ball and flits like a butterfly! But she loves it!
  • Some of her favorite foods include: dill pickles, plain noodles (cooked), "pickle sandwiches" (turkey+pickles+mustard/mayo), apples, and most fruits, quesadillas, "horse carrots," peanut butter and toast.
Some pics of E over the last few months...

 Kindergarten Picture Day!
She's always up for an adventure!

Has an obsession with dill pickles...

What a fun thing it has been to watch this sweet girl grow over the past 6 years!! We sure love having her in our family.

Jet @ 4 Years Old

Well Check Stats:
Weight: 33 lbs (23%)
Height: 38 inches or 3'2" (8%)

Has the longest lashes, the tips are quite blonde so it's hard to tell sometimes
This cute face....oh I love him!
  • his temperament has gotten a bit happier in the last 6 months. He still has moments of screaming to get out frustrations and trying to learn to communicate them. When Jet gets hurt and is crying, you definitely don't want to be the first person on the scene to help or you'll get screamed at!
  • He is hot blooded!! He ALWAYS wants to be in basketball shorts and a t-shirt...even in the winter months. His ears and cheeks get bright red when he's warm.
  • He LOVES preschool and according to Miss Jackie, he is very well behaved and a very good listener! Hallelujah...I guess that's the place I'd prefer that his good behavior comes out!
  • His love language is "quality time." He loves one-on-one attention and wants to do puzzles and play games with mom and dad all day. He loves Candy Land, Spot it, and Matching Games.
  • Just started Jr. Primary! He is a Sunbeam and is doing great in there. No problems going to class on his own. He even gave his first talk with a little help during primary and got right up and spoke into the microphone loud and clear, and didn't act shy at all! I was a proud momma!
  • Eats like a bird... tiny little portions. Not super picky, just doesn't want too much.
  • Fave foods include Ham n swiss sliders, spaghetti and meatballs, strawberries, and salad.
  • Several times a day I can find him climbing onto the kitchen counter, or changing his clothes.
  • He loves to snuggle and LOVES soft fabrics. His "tiny blanky" (as well as Ike's tiny blanky and mom's Saranoni blanket) gets lots of attention.
  • He loves to tag along with Emri and most of the time they are great friends.
  • He was sent to our family to teach me patience!
  • The boy definitely has a sweet, tender side of him as well. I love when he tells me I look beautiful out of the blue, and offers hugs and kisses without being prompted. He sure adds a lot of personality to our family and we just wouldn't be the same without him!
************
The day before Jet's actual birthday was a holiday and Brett randomly had it off... so we started the celebrations a day early. This year we gave the kids an option of having friends over for a bday party or doing a fun activity of their choice as a family... They both picked family! I know one day they'll 100% pick friends over family so I am taking it all in while they still love to hang with their parents! haha! Jet's pick was to go swimming. Well, since it's February we hit up an indoor pool and it was AWESOME! We went to "The Rush" in Syracuse. Big indoor pool with a kiddie area, a lazy river, and larger tube waterslides. The kids were all in heaven!

That night, Brett and I decorated with crate paper and balloons as tradition so they wake up to a "party" on their special day!
Since I don't usually buy the heavily sugared cereals that's what they get on their birthdays!
Jet's main gift was his bike... and a few accessories to go with it.
Birthday boy's dinner request: Spaghetti and meatballs.
Birthday cake request: "Octimus (Optimus) Prime." This is the (very) simplified version... since Optimus is an Autobot we went with that!

Grandma Max got the boys this awesome train table as a gift.
Just a few pics of this handsome guy over the last few months
So full of mischief!

 Sparkly blues....
Jet and Miss Jackie who he just adores
We love you Jetty Boy! Happy Birthday!!
