Bretty's 33!!

This year the UDA Dental Convention fell on Brett's bday so he had to leave pretty early in the morning. So we saved breakfast in bed and celebrating till the weekend.
I guess I was lazy this year... or just decided to simpify?! Kneaders pulled through with some awesome desserts!
This pic cracks me up! They all needed to be in on the action... but trying to eat around eachother got a bit tricky at times!

The kids gave him this indoor basketball hoop so they can all play together.... and I gave him a gift card to get a 90 min massage.
We sure love this hubby/daddy of ours and are so thankful for all that he does for our family!

Ike @ 19 Months

He got a new hat with Daddy at Target... and wants to sleep with it on most days.
He couldn't get enough of being under the waterfall at the house in St. George where we stayed.

Where I can find him anytime I need to prepare dinner... :)

In the past month I feel like our family has had a lot of "sick days." A month ago, Ike's ears were clear again, but now double ear infections... and all that comes with it. Lots of snot, gunky eyes, and minimal sleep. Overall he remains to be a pretty darn sweet little boy. I've lost the notes i keep on my phone, but i'm pretty sure 2-3 more teeth have erupted in the last month! Finally some chompers to start eating with!

Easter!!

I love traditions... this is a messy one, but the kids love it!

Easter morning, after finding their baskets.
In the afternoon we went to my parents to have dinner and Momma Max's Easter hunt. I couldn't get enough of this silly boy! He was so excited to find the eggs, but of course wanted to stop at each one and see what was inside.

Uncle Brody helped him find some of the treats up high.
The big kids are usually on the run the whole time!

Uncle Kolby sitting at the "kid" table. Suits him well!
Then on to the next tradition "Spitz and Gooph." Who has the strongest egg....?

This year Brett was the big winner!!!!!
I'm so thankful for the real, the most important, reason behind the Easter holiday. So thankful for the Atonement of my Savior Jesus Christ and that he was resurrected. I know HE LIVES! I'm thankful to know that one day I will have the same opportunity, and be able to live with my family for eternity. What a beautiful blessing He has given us.

Spring Clean-up Service

As a gift of service to Gma and Gpa Anderton before they leave for their mission all the kids/grandkids wanted to help them get their spring yard work done. So we all gathered on a Saturday to help... it's amazing how many hands can make light work! We got a lot done and everyone had great attitudes and were happy to be serving!
 The big kids helped outside.

Gma Sugar came over to see what all the commotion was :)

Ike and I worked inside.... I spent most of my time in the fruit room, getting rid of old food or sorting food that would be needing to be used in the next year while they are gone.

Gma and Gpa are 2 wonderful examples of service.... and are always serving our family as well as everyone they are in contact with. This was a fun day to be able to return a small amount of that love back to them before they head out to serve the people of Portugal on their mission!

Spring Break

Brett worked through Spring Break so the kids and I kept busy with activities around town. The weather is warming up a bit... One day we spent the morning at the Dinosaur Park/Museum in Ogden.

Lots of bike riding and bubble blowing on another day....
One morning I took the kids to McD's for breakfast... they thought they had died and gone to heaven!

One day we met our friends at the Hill Aerospace Museum. It is such a cool place--and free! We definitely need to spend some more time there! It was so fun to see our friends too!
Jet sitting under a plane at the outdoor exhibits...

Sometimes it's nice to have a little "stay-cation" and see and do things in our own neighborhood that we don't always do!
