On Friday after work we had only been home 10 minutes...I'd put Emri in the exersaucer while I unpacked her things from the sitter. Let's just say the pressure on a baby's bottom in that thing when they have to "go" does not make for an easy cleanup! Emri smiling while I try to figure out how to clean this up on my own!

Yes, quite the little.....or should I say huge present to me!

She loves her bathtime, which makes me wonder if she did this midday on purpose to get a bath! And her toes are much more accessible without a big diaper on!

Oh yes! All 5 toes are a must!

And now, all clean and cozy with bear in one arm and blanky in the other....time for the afternoon nap!

Saturday we went to dinner with some friends where Emri couldn't keep her eyes off daddy's diet coke! She was determined to get her sticky little fingers on it, and the expression on her face is one of defeat!

After dinner we went to the Short North in downtown Columbus to the Gallery Hop (much to Brett's dismay)! All the little shops display artwork and there's lots going on in the streets...singing, dancing, (people watching on our part). We basically just wandered around and counted how many gay couples we saw. The only pictures I have to document our night are:

the melted icecream drips I spilled on myself

a really dark picture of an already dark person break dancing

and faceshot of me and brett. The End.

Pratt has just started the sucking on his toes stage. It's hilarious I love it. I miss E and you of course! Tell Brett to get done with school faster so you can move back here! :)
It's a good thing baby poop isn't as bad as toddler poop. Although it still isn't fun to clean up. She is so cute. I love all your pictures! 4 more weeks. I get checked on Wednesday. Hopefully I will start progressing. It's just too freakin hot!!!
I love that picture of Emri with the blanket and bear. So so cute. I've never done the gallery hop. Another thing we'll have to try.
Oh I HATE cleaning up the blow-outs. I never even know where to start and there's pretty much no way to keep anything clean while you're doing it. I just resolve to the fact that everything in the vicinity is going in the wash, particularly Hazel.
Seriously Jami, you are making some heavy cream. Emri is such a CHUNK! I love her little wrist rolls. It looks like she has a rubber band around her wrist, hahah. Who would have thought such a tiny little person like you could make such high-calorie milk. Poor Hazel either has her dad's incredible metabolism or I'm making skim...
P.S. I found some diapers that I LOVE because it traps the poo from going up the back. The Huggies that have a little picture of a diaper with a pocketed flap on the back part of the diaper. It says "stops runny messes". Anyway, I haven't had any problems with poo out the back since I started using those and Hazel has had some serious poos since she started rice cereal.
ha ha...where do i start!?
I can't believe the blow-out! It really just makes you stop everything and try to figure out the best way to get her clean without getting EVERYTHING else dirty! Sometimes it seems like the best option is to go outside and use the garden hose! ;)
E is such a cute little chunk! I love her cute little face and all of her cute expressions (already wanting soda?!) I LOVE LOVE LOVE her sucking on her toes! That is the cutest picture ever! I can't see that ever happening for Parker...he can barely touch his knees. :/
Can E breathe with all that on her face when she is sleeping. ha ha She is adorable.
Talk to you soon...
We just got done cleaning up one of those! We looked over during breakfast and he had it running down his legs and he was stepping in it. Into the bath for him. At least it happened at home. The ones at church are even more fun to clean up.
E is so adorable!
Never be defeated Emri, keep reaching for that goal and one day you too will love Diet Coke! I mean if you can get all 5 toes in that mouth surely one little straw wont be too difficult! Glad you give your mom the change to bathe you so often :) You are sure cute though1
Hey guys!! She is so adorable I can't stand it. She has gotten so big! Don't you just love the blow-outs. I think Tray thought those were hilarious. I loved your post on your anniversary too...congrats on 4 years. You guys are so cute. Thanks for your post. I can't believe we are done, it went way too fast. I miss Ohio but it is nice being home. Anyways, your fam is so cute. Emri is a doll.
Those pics are hilarious! She's so chubby; I love it! I have a similar picture of Deacon reaching for some steak while Melissa had her head turned. Those babies know what the good stuff is.
Wow! that was a massive blow-out. But when there so cute it's not so bad to clean up. Emri is so adorable!
So gross!!! Ha ha.
Emri is getting so big! That is so fun and exciting!
I also have to say that I LOVE your anniversery post! I must do that next year. It makes you sit back and realized how fast the time has gone by... wow!
wow baby blow outs are nasty. I am sure one day I will have a few of those to deal with. I can't believe how big Emri is getting. I haven't been on your blog in forever. Looks like all is well.
I love those kind of blow-outs...so fun. She really did just want her toes eh? the defeated look is great on E. My kids love our 'drinks' so whenever we get one in the car or restaurant we have to get them their own or a juice or something cuz their little sticky fingers will be owning it! and it's no longer ours.
